HALINÁ Modern Filipino Kitchen + Bar: Filipino Feasting for Groups and Celebrations
Filipino food is built for a full table, and Halina, a modern Filipino kitchen and bar on East Hastings Street in Vancouver, is set up for exactly that, with platters for three or four, a menu section made for sharing and private event bookings for groups of 21 or more.

Made for Sharing

Halina’s menu has a whole section called salo-salo, Tagalog for a shared meal or gathering. It covers Sizzling Sisig, a liempo platter and a Chicken Inasal platter, crispy pata, bulalo and Halina’s take on the Tuguegarao noodle classic.
The restaurant was started by four friends who first ran a takeout and catering business, Bigboy’s Chigs To-Go, so feeding a crowd is in its roots.
